Pros: great hooks for dropshotting.
Have used several different style hooks for dropshotting (VMC Spinshot, Standout Drop Shot hook, etc.), but I like and trust these XPS octopus style hooks more than any others I've used so far. Reliably good hookups every time. These hooks are strong and needle sharp. I rig them with a Palomar knot and feed the tag end back through the front of the eye, then attach a drop shot weight with clip at whatever depth I prefer. That seems to keep the hook upright and most hookups are in the roof of the fish's mouth, sometimes in the lip. I prefer the 2/0 size. So far this spring (2013), I've hooked and landed fish weighing 8lbs 3oz and 10lbs even with this rig, not to mention numerous smaller fish.
