Default 7-18-13 Seaview Fishing Pier - Speckled Trout Limit

I got another limit of Speckled Trout before going to work but there was more pinfish eating the shrimp. If you could keep those pinfish off the shrimp you would catch the trout. I was using live Shrimp fished under a float rig. I also lost a 4~5 pound Spanish off the King Rig last night so I'll be putting out the King Rig again once I get off work. Yesterday there was two missed King Strikes and they put one 25.5 pound king on the deck which bit a Butter Fish for bait.

That's getting it done! Wish I lived close enough to the salt to go catch a limit of trout before work. That is some fine eating.

    Tim,

Nice job on the specks.... I need to make my way back to Seaview soon. Have you tried a DOA shrimp under a cork? I caught a nice trout off the Pier last fall without the hassle of having my shrimp ripped apart by Pinnies.

Thanks for the report and all the info.

Not yet but I may give that a try. I know that works in the fall but they want live shrimp in the summer.
