    Default Buckhorne bass fishin heatin up

    Caught 10 today and 11 thursday fishin a rapala shallow shad rap and a 10 inch culprit mocassin worm . Some are already on the bed , caught most of these chasing schools of bait fish . Had a great time catchin these but really waitin for the flounder bite to rollin .

    Is this Buckhorn Reservoir in Wilson? Flounder has me confused.

    Yeah it is. He's waitin for the flounder to start bitin in the brackish creeks out to the sound.

    Hey yall are in my backyard! Thanks for the report and nice fish, haven't been able to get out there but once this year. Trying to go with my lady tomorrow after church. Lmk if yall come back I'd like to meet ya.

    great catch Curtis, do you think the water will stay clear with all this rain thinking about this week and were you in the upper end.

    Sorry for the huge picture, I caught this beaut out there Sunday after church along with quite a few bucks around 2lbs. She was a little shy of 8lbs, 23.5 inches and full of eggs. The weird thing is she was in 14 fow, while everthing else we caught was in 5 foot or less. Didnt stay long because of all the inconsiderate fools on wake boats, and thats why I usually only go out there during the week. Still had fun watching my lady wear em out.

    Caught her on a black/blue flake 4" senko wacky style dragging it with a Carolina rig. We caught the rest on the same worm just weightless in shallow water. Hard to beat a black worm at buckhorn.
