Anybody planning on going out kayak fishing in the morning (16 SEP)? I will be putting in at the USO at 0900 and heading up New River if anybody wants to join. my first time going at that spot.

Headed down on Sunday with my son to try our luck. Had a good trip to the Haystacks in early November and wondered if they're still biting. Also considering the Sneads Ferrry (New River) or Swansboro area. Any info would be appreciated. Would hate to disappoint the kid. Thanks. JM

These are two of the fish I caught in the north fork of the New River at the opening of Trout season 2016. I didn't get to use the new Orvis, had to settle for spinning rod. The results were good though.
