Hey guys. I'm going to be in Wilmington this weekend, and I'm itching to take my kayak out for the first time. I do have a decent amount of kayaking experience just not fishing from them. Anyone heard how the Spanish fishing around the WB jetty is doing right now? was thinking about taking it out there if it isn't too rough. Otherwise, I'll probably hit up the ICW or go around Fort Fisher for some inshore fishing. If anyone cares to join then just let me know.

As of right now, forecast looks pretty bad through the weekend so I'd stick to the icw. Today there are white caps even back there.

Weather Underground for WB doesn't look that bad; under 10mph winds and low chance of rain. [-]I am tempted but my experiment in April with a skirted rec SIK didn't go quite as well as I hoped as far as BTB. Comfortable with it inshore though. I might do Sunday if someone else in the area is interested in a day trip to split gas...[/-] EDIT - made some inland float plans instead...
