Been on vacation and had a few opportunities to fish and gig. Have had a great time with the family and any fish caught are always a welcomed site. For the life of me though I can't seem to bring home more than 1 fish. I catch 1 or gig 1 and wonder where the rest went. The trout were caught in the exact same spot a few days apart and I fished even harder to try to get a second one without any luck. The flounder was one I gigged on the way in from a windy trip after seeing allot of movement.

Hey Aqua I've often had similar trips. Better than getting skunked but one time it would be nice to catch enough to feed the whole family. I'm with you; June - September my boat is mostly a fun family boat and it becomes a fishing boat when the weather turns cooler. It's all good though.

I'm curious where you are gigging knowing where you stay; I'd like to try gigging somewhere close but not sure the White Oak has good opportunities with the muddy water.

Headed down this afternoon. Looks like will be blowing most of the weekend. I'll wave to you from the other side of the river.

Heel,I assume most of the first are scattered this time of year versus in the fall when they school up. The wind has kept us from trying to gig and I am a novice with very little knowledge on the secrets of it, but maybe if it works out sometime you can jump aboard and I'll show you what little I know!!!
