I am in need of a 260cm paddle. I am not finding much in this size.

Jackson makes one at 30oz. http://jacksonkayak.com/jackson-kayak-paddles/bass-paddle/

Bending Branches Ace Angler and Pro angler are about the same. http://bendingbranches.com/paddles/kayak/fishing

Thoughts???

I had Austin Kayak make me a custom graphite Skagit at 260 Took about two weeks I love it.
I think I paid 120 not sure
Don't the BB paddles have round shafts? That would bug me personally. The Skagit is a nice paddle.

Oval on mine, super light and incredible strength----I use it all the time to pry myself off river rock in the 119 I also use it in the 158 seated backwards in the front seat. I never drip water on myself and my paddling angle is stealth mode to high speed high angle.

I've often done three down and three up against current in a 1/2 day fishing.

Check the website to order the right size grip.

The BB wood 260 model is pretty but way too heavy. Mine has the yellow blades. Get those if you are not going to baby it.
It appears the skagit does not come in 260. From reviews I am leaning towards the Bending Branches Pro Angler.
You have to tell AK you want it custom and they make it the exact length you want and ship it from the factory to your house.

There's a forum ( forget the name ) for folks that do nothing but solo canoe tripping and fishing mostly in the NE and Canada and these guys are the real deal. It's where I learned about it and read all the positive reviews. A lot of guys had it made 270 and 280 for 14 and 15 and longer solo tripping boats.
If you want a 270, Canon makes 39 oz 270cm aluminum paddle for the NuCanoe (which is why I know about it) for $80.

Search for NuCanoe paddle.
Hey Mikeski.....Werner DOES make a Skagit paddle in the 260 cm length...the Skagit Hooked model with the olive blades and it sells for $130.00. I sold one on SAT with a Jackson Big Tuna!!!

PS: BigLenr......those three models of paddles sold for the NuCanoe Frontier are 275 cm

PS2: The Aqua Bound Sting Ray Hybrid is very slightly less weight at $140 for a 250 cm model......
I must have been surfing for Fishing paddles and missed this one. Great price point. Backcountry popped up with a price of 104. I might just have found my new paddle.

Thanks.....

Haven't measured it, but the nucanoe website lists the aluminum one as 270, and the other 2 as 275....

(EDIT... just went to their web page, and saw that all 3 are now listed at 275....) that's news to me. here's the older one....http://shop.floridapaddlesports.com/nucanoe-270cm-wave-aluminum/

Mikeski......Which one did you decide to order?? You CANNOT go wrong on either brand from a price/performance comparison.....and I sell both of them, and also B.B. paddles, but mostly their SUP paddles...

Biglenr......I cheated!!! I work at an "outfitters" here in JAX, FL.....kinda more like G:O than GOPC since a single location....and we sell both brands of paddles mentioned above. We also sell the NuCanoe Frontier and I have a product guide and Price List here on my desk!! LOL!!!

PS: I got to test pedal the brand new Native Slayer 10 Propel on SUN. on the 22 acre lake behind our store!! Woody and Mike were in town for a Tourney, and one of our BEST kayak fishermen pedaled it in a Tourney...and won the SAT Tourney which included mostly powerboats, AND the SUN Tourney which was Kayaks Only.....Eddie slayed them!!! We are the local Native Dealer in NE FLA and SE GA and Woody swung by our store and 3 of the staff got to pedal it.....VERY IMPRESSED with it!!!

PS2: I do NOT want to de-rail this thread, but will post some pix and info in a NEW THREAD if anyone is interested...please PM me...
