We are still catching mullet .....some in the a.m. hours.....but still doing the best after dark.....heard of more blues yesterday....water temp is finally warming up some....should start to see more variety soon.....we still have our share of skates and sharks.....

The weather this week just keeps looking better and better.....should bring more people out to try.....

Its on the menu....you have to ask to have it fried....she likes to save time if she can.....grill is usually hopping...

We caught big ones on Seaview around March 12, 15, somewhere in that time frame. After that they were a little mixed sizes, varying from day to day. I don't know about SCP. I am sure the Witch will chime in for ya.

sounds like about the same here....mixed bag.... there has been some nice one ...kinda depends on where your fishing and what your using for bait....fresh shrimp has been the bait of choice....my "freshly defrosted" just doesnt compete so well next to the fresh stuff....

Any size to the mullet??

I had some for lunch Friday that were caught at North Topsail in the surf. MMMMMMMM Goood! They were nice size, from a pound to pound and a half. All caught on sand fleas.

Fresh shrimp will also work good but I like to do combination rigs so I can see what they prefer for the day...

I haven't had much luck with frozen fleas when fishing for mullet. Black drum will bite a frozen flea. I always use live fleas, and if I can't find fleas, I use fresh cut shrimp.
