After trying the 172 bridge for an hour and losing about 10 Carolina rigs with no good bites we decided to work the docks to the south and the east. Pulled my first ever redfish, 18.5 inches, from under a pier. Fish ate a live mud minnow on a 1/4 ounce carolina rig.

My buddy brought his easy throw cast net and it made all the difference. We were finally able to make bait easily off of an island in Trap's Bay. There was so much bait moving you couldn't hardly miss them. If you are having problems learning to throw a net I recommend you try an easy throw cast net. Perfect circle every throw.
