. Headed out to umstead today for a quick one hour top water session. Worked bus bait in one area parallel the shore with now blowups or strikes. Moved to another spot and same result. If ally started throwing out toward open water and second cast BAM fish on and for the pull and bend I knew it was a biggie. Fish went airborne a few times finally landed a nice 6.5 pounder. Had one other blow up in close but tried same area a few more times no further hits. Not bad for about 45 mins of buzzbait and buzz plug action.

Picked up a buzzplug earlier in the day but couldn't get any action on it. Love the look of it plus I can toss it a mile. Last couple buzz bait bass have been 1-2 pounder range nice to get a big prespawn fatty on one.
