Played hooky today and hit the river with JoeyB. Pretty fun day with a few firsts for me...5 species of bass in one day, first hybrid, and first tagged fish (striper). The 5 bass species were striped bass, white bass, spotted bass, largemouth, and a hybrid. Had a few bream, a white perch and a channel cat also all on a beetle spin. The striper and hybrid were both on topwater. Caught a handful of spot and lm on various lures....topwater, worm, mepps.
JoeyB also had a nice hybrid, 24" I think and a handful of largemouth and carp and probably more that I don't know about. Nice day to lay out of work and finally get a hybrid. Been wanting to catch one of those suckers for several years now. Few pics below.

Great fight...but a 27" Carp peels the line pretty good too!
