Drop--- Fish were biting good. One of those freak weather cells fired up right on top of me --moved offshore and came back right at me. Spouts kept trying to form. Last time I got into a scrape like this, I blamed it on my preacher, who was with me the last time that I got caught in a good one. These things tend to make a slow boat run very fast. My McKee was in the air more than water till I got to the harbor.

What can you catch out of the Johns River?

Thanks for sharing the pictures
Hhmmm, where to start? I guess my favorite are the smallmouth. Trout would be next. Others are red eye's, sunfish, yellow perch, suckers, catfish. Float trips can be fun just seeing the different types of fish. Good smallmouth river. :D A few miles downstream from these pics, Wilson Creek runs into it.(both good size rivers) It is still called John's River after that.
