I am tardy in making this announcement but Topsail Angler has agreed to assist me as our first NCangler.com forum moderator! There has been very little need for forum moderation in our first 20 months of existence but we will be diligent to make sure that this website remains "family-friendly" and focused on North Carolina fishing...from the mountains to the coast!

Thank you Mike for agreeing to do this and for all the great input you've given the site. Your volunteering to do this is very much appreciated!

Please let Mike know how much you appreciate his service here too. And if you would like to assist as a moderator for a specific forum please let us know. :)

WOOHOO..must be getting big if we need a moderator. Not sure whatcha do but I'd be willing to help out with the freshwater stuff since that's where I normally stay.
BTW, thanks for all you do on here Topsail. The advice you give out is always appreciated by those asking. And look at all the big money you get for working on this site..oh wait..he said volunteer.:D

Thanks guys. I'm chuckling a bit though cause you guys are so great, there's little to do other than read the posts, which I of course do anyway. However if I can ever be of assistance, like a duplicate post or mergeng two together, etc let me know.

There have only been a couple of instances where someone joined just to SPAM us all with something unrelated to fishing. One guy was promoting links to gambling and another porn clips. There is no place for that garbage on this site. I can't be online all the time so having other folks checking in on a regular basis is a great help to me.

Some day maybe moderators will be a paid positions! :) But for now I sure appreciate the volunteer help. Our fishing forums are only as good as the folks that participate in them. And I'm blessed that so many great NC anglers have chosen to be a part of this site. Thank you all for your contributions of time, information and expertise. It is a blessing to me and I'm sure to many others. ;)
