i found some guys at the expo back in january with an awesome group of dudes that run an equally awesome set up tournaments. the only issue is that my schedule with working two jobs doesn't allow for the travel id need to be able to be places such as hyco or michie, etc. (mostly above the durham/north raleigh area of state,) would require me to have to travel more and have more time and money tied up in fishing (already spend too much lol!) anyone know about any clubs for jon/electric guys down around fayetteville? im from spivey's corner in sampson county, not too far from harnett co. (between dunn and clinton.) know a couple of guys who would probably participate but not enough to start our on club quite yet.

I think I'm probably one of the guys you talked to at the expo. We had a great turn out, but a lot of the folks we talked to mentioned living too far east. I don't know of any clubs down that way, but get out on the water any weekend with good weather and you're bound to meet some folks at the ramp.

I am in "that" club LOL. Great bunch of guys but it is a tough haul from Washington NC as all the tourneys are 1.5 to 3 hrs away. My new job has me kinda screwed up too. I will miss this weekends tourney. I don't know of any other clubs east of them, the water we have here is rivers and sounds and they aren't as favorable to traveling by electric only power as lakes are. Otherwise I would consider broadening the reach of the club I am in. As far as gas clubs I am sure there are some around.

There is a club that fishes Jordan, Harris, and the Cape Fear River. That would be the southern most club.
Most of the clubs still fish lakes in the northern area of the state because there are just not that many places to fish down that way.
If you know of a few good spots let me know and I'm sure I can see that a tournament or two will be there next year. We are always looking for new water.
