Was looking for cobia inshore. No luck. Moved offshore a ways. Found a bunch of these guys and once I switched to a topwater it was on!

It's a 12 weight flyrod. Kind of difficult to break. Having said that I was a little concerned with the way my friend retrieved his fly all the way to the leader but it worked out okay. If you've never cast a 12 weight it's not as tough as you'd think and it really moves things along. The foregrip on the rod really helps a lot when fighting these big fish becasue you can use your back and hip muscles to help with the fight instead of just your arm. I've got another video that I uploaded yesterday.

We keep 2 8wt, a 10 and a 12 wt in the boat for such. Normally chashing reds, blues or bull reds and anything we can get to chase a fly.
