The waters of Western North Carolina are very low with our drought conditions. The reports I am getting from fellow guides about the Tuck are that it is to low to float, but fishing well while wading. Don't forget about the Nantahalla above the powerhouse while you are over that way.

Hope this helps, good luck and give us a report upon your return

From Sylva (near Tuck River) take US74/US19 through the Nantahala Gorge past the Nantahala Outdoor Center to the Nantahala River Launch site. Turn left on SR1310 (Wayah Road), go about 1/2 mile to the powehouse and after going past it there is about 5 or 6 miles of pulloff's for fishing along the road.

It is about 1 hour from the Tuck to here.

Hope this helps.
