Hello everyone, was thinking about making a trip to WB this coming week for some surf fishing but has anyone had any action there as of lately? Hoping to catch a few Drums or Trout but anything that will bite would do.
Any surf action on Wrightsville Beach?

I bought a set of waders 2 weeks ago and have used them a few times at wrightsville beach since then and have caught some small trout here and there on mirrorlures. I'm not a surf or trout guy, at all, so don't let that stop you from going. Post up when you do go I'll be curious to see how you do.

How many miles of beach on average do you have to cover to find a school of reds? No previous reports or Intel just goin out and finding them.

Reds are creatures of habit & will return to the same area year after year.
Sometimes several miles searching while plugging. Mobility is the key to finding them.
Best to search on a blue bird day with light winds & clear skies.

Yea i would have totally missed that lol. Looks like waves breaking to me. Are Reds easily spooked?

How big are your lures for targeting those reds? And whats the recommended jig head oz that you usually use for the surf?

1/2 oz. jig to 3/4 oz. buck tails. Tipped with Gulp Shrimp. Gold Hopkins, Kastmasters.
Search for old post for pictures. ..... ICM
