Anyone know what this is? Caught it last year catching bait at NW Places.

Looks to be a species of wrasse.

Also looks like a juvenile Tilefish, more so.

beautiful little fish. definitely a wrasse or juvy tilefish of some nature

I was thinking that it was a tilefish, but usually when I think of tilefish, I think of Golden Tilefish. Judging by my inability to find one on the internet, it must not get much bigger than this. It was pretty out of the ordinary when you pull one of these up from the bottom when you are expecting pinfish.

I thumbed through a field guide of marine fishes, couldn't find it anywhere. Juvenile tilefish was closest I saw.

Looks like a Tile Fish...we caught small ones in the Keys and they looked very much like that.
