We are going to hold at Meeting at Sammio's Restaurant on Raeford on April 24th at 7PM. They have a meeting room in the back which they are making available to us. We have many new members and I hope that we get the chance to sit and chat with you for awhile. Please, let me know if you plan to attend.

Been so crazy lately with things coming up at the last minute that I'm not sure but I do believe I'll be there.

We had another great meeting this month with 13 members in attendance. Sammio's Restruant provided us with a banquet room that gave a quite area to talk fishing.

Here are a few topics that were covered as part of the discussions:

1. The upcoming Military Appreciation Day; Informed the member that event has been moved to The MHC waterfront and that they need volunteers.
2. Boat Trailering Issues in NC; Call to Action for members to review the issue and to contact their representatives
3. VA Hospital Magazine Drive; The VA Hospital has no magazines in the waiting areas so we are beginning a magazine drive. Once a quarter we will collect our old hunting and fishing magazines and deliver them to the VA Hospital to be distributed to the various clinics. Waits are typically very long at the hospital and we feel that thsi will help the veterans pass the time. Magazines can not be more than 3 months old when delivered.
4. Membership drive is going very well. We have almost doubled our membership since last month. There are two weeks left before we have the drawing for the Shimano Reels. You still have time to get your name in the hat for the drawing by signing up a new member.
5. Cookout will be held at my house on May 10th at 2pm. If you plan to attend please RSVP by May 3rd and tell us how many that you plan to bring along.

Thanks to all that came out for the meeting. It's has been alot of fun getting to know all of you and I look forward to getting a chance to spend sometime with you on the water.
