Since the French Broad never clears up enough to catch smallies. Does anyone know where else to go around Asheville to get smallmouth on the fly?

If the water's just muddy and not high/too fast I've caught them on loud/noise producing lures in the past. Rapala Jointed Shad Rap in fire craw color and spinner baits (the bigger style)....

took the words right out of my mouth. the pigeon river, the tuck, little tennessee, the broad, just about any good size flow will have smallies. or you can go to a lake like fontana, gleenville, james, etc.
