Atlantic Beach for the 4th

I'm heading to AB for the next week. I usually do most of my fishing during the Fall and Spring and do okay at Fort Macon during those seasons. I know, traditionally, July is slow in the surf except for pinfish, but I would love get some decent action. Any suggestions for someone without a boat? Locations, bait, time? I'm pretty open and appreciate any guidance.

Swing by chasin tails I'm sure the guys will steer you in the right direction. Oceanana pier is also a option. Catch some blues for sure on gotcha plugs.

Cut mullet on a FF rig on one rod and a gold kastmaster on a other rod...Drum, red and black, blues. Spanish, heck, anything that swims..

Thanks for answering. Sounds not much different than what I do in the Fall. Didn't know if there was a little nuance during the Summer that would up my chances. If the surf is slow, I guess I'll shell out the 10 bucks for the pier at 5 am.

Chasin Tails is always my first stop coming across the bridge. They love to see me and especially my wallet walk through the door:D

Take a small rig with small hooks to catch pinfish with. Cut them up and use them as chunk or live bait. My experience with pinfish has been that they rarely eat each other!
