The Pechmann Center put another Beginning Fly-tying Class into the books, this week. We had 12 participants in this class, and based on the parting comments, I'm sure that we're going to see the majority of this class in our monthly Fly-tying Forums. In the beginning class, we discuss tools, materials, and techniques for tying many popular fly patterns. Students 6 patterns in a sequence that increases in complexity. The patterns are; the San Juan worm, Green weenie, Foam beetle, Beadhead wooly worm, Wooly bugger, and Clouser minnow. Students also receive a handbook that contains recipes for the instructed patterns and many charts and guides for reference. We supply all of the tools and materials for class all at no charge to the participant. The next Fly-tying forum meets on August 28th, @ 6:30pm.
