Rangergreg and the boys up at Falls Lake have put them up on some of the new islands - probably so they're easier to see

That's just nuts.. The Charleston one especially... Don't you know that guy was hanging on for dear life and seeing the water come closer and closer thinking "Come on baby!! Keep moving!! The waters right there!!

That sir would be the warning bouy for that shoal area. Normally it's about 4-6 ft of water over the top of it depending on the pool level of the lake to give you an idea...

hey dave you are right when jordan lake level is at 216 the shoal is around 3 ft right on top and now well oyu can see its not 3 ft of water hehehehe i think he found that his boat would not run in shallow water.

Man,, I found that sucker the hard way back in 97 when running my jet boat.
I knew there was a shoal there, but didnt quite know exactly or how deep.... and with the jet boat,, didnt worry about it too much until my port side pump sucked up a bunch of loose gravel off the top of that sucker!!! locked up the port motor lickity split limp'd back to the ramp on the starboard motor...

ever since, I never go to the right side of that bouy!! Deep water to the left baby...


Still amazing.. I need to go up there this weekend and walk around with the camera... I'd like to take some pix of the more exposed road beds like up at the north bridge, Beaver creek area and there at New Hope.

Makes ya wonder... if they swam back to the launch?? I'd hate to leave my boat out there like that... never know when someone dishonest might come around... but surely they'd damage it by moving it.. throw out the anchor and pray for rain... what can they do...
