I have an Abu Garcia orra winch that i can't seem to fix. Recently I noticed that the spool won't reel in unless I tighten the star drag all the way down. Even when it's tightened down all the way, once I hook a fish its still a pain to reel it in properly. I've tried taking it apart a couple times to troubleshoot with no luck. Any idea what's wrong?

You are either missing a washer on the stack that go on the handle shaft or the washers are in backward. I've done this myself a couple times. If you take the handle and star drag off the washers should look like () not (( or )). The missing gap doesn't allow the star handle to put enough pressure on the drag stack.
