Bank Fishing with kids

Anyone know a good place to take two kids bluegill fishing from the bank?

I need to get the kids new spot to go with some decent chance of success.

I'm in the Concord area...

Thanks!

Small hooks some split shot and night crawlers and you will find bluegill in roadside ditches that hold water.

Thanks. I just need good bank areas for the 3yo to 'stretch her legs'.
I would assume that Norman has a healthy population of sunnies gills and crappie that can be gotten from thw bank. Ive been wrong before though.

Lake Norman State park would be a great area. Send a pm to Biglenr, he has spent time there.

Stop at Perth Road bait and tackle, buy some crappie minnows, head down the street to Lake Norman State Park. Park in the first parking area on the left after you cross the little bridge. Walk back past the construction site and take the Alder Trail all the way to the end. Wire hook, bobber with a minner, lots of smiles and maybe some dinner!
