Looking to do some bass fishing this Sunday. Any thoughts on where might be good in the Havelock or surrounding area? I have been fishing the creeks of the Neuse but have not had much luck the past few weeks. I know its slow in the winter but have a new boat and don't mind being on the water in the cold.

I have had good luck around the creek where Hatteras yachts is in new Bern but that was during the spring

you've been in the right water just hard time of year. Have to fish it super slow, jigs, wacky worms etc.

Plenty of Channel bass (a.k.a red drum) in Havelock

Probably need to move closer to the coast to catch them right now. In the summer though you can catch a few for sure in Havelock.
