I recently moved to Wilmington NC and looking for lakes and rivers to do some bass fishing. Anyone know where I could launch my Ranger Comanche Bass Boat.

If you want to fish the Cape Fear or NE Cape Fear you'll probably have to run a ways north to find bass but you can launch at the ramp beside the Memorial bridge on the downtown side. A lot of folks fish Sutton lake, you can search this board for more info, there has been a lot of recent discussion about that lake.

Can back up some off of I40 and put in at Castle Hayne........plenty of river to run and gun......NorthEast Cape Fear River...
Next bet out towards Regalwood and hit the Cape Fear River........use to be able to hit the boat ramp on the back side of the Golf course there.

You can put in at Castle Hayne on the NE Cape Fear river. There's also Lake Waccamaw(sp), Waccamaw River, Black River, Long Creek, Holly Shelter Creek, Tabor Lake, ect. There's a ton of options. If you're not used to fishing tidal water it may take a little while to figure it out but it won't take long. One little bit of info is that the fish in these tidal waters will hit topwater all day long when the temps get warm enough. Rip some lips man!

That ramp is still open, we fished it about two weeks ago for cats and put in there. Looks like there could be some bass but the water was WAAAAAAYYYYY up and pumping hard. Not a good time to bass fish on the river.

10-4 fat...............haven't been that way in a while and wasn't sure......
Yep these tidal rivers will have you scratching your head when the water starts flushing out quickly.......and then there is nothing........and then the water flushes back into the river........
