In lakes without much natural cover, probably pretty well. Putting them in just enough water to not be visible from the surface would make sense to me... maybe an extra 8 to 12 inches to allow for changes in lake level / clarity, although in typical Springs most lakes are not at their clearest and usually are close to full pool unless it's been a dry winter.I wonder how they would work in NC lakes?
