I'm curious to see if it is legal to have a fire on the beach at Oak Island. I've done it before with no issues but I'm not sure of the actual law. The best that I could find states:
Oak Island allows campfires on the beach with a bonfire permit. The permits are free and can be obtained from the Town Hall. The permit comes with rules you must follow to keep the fire under control. Fires are not allowed from May 1 through Nov. 15 in order to prevent harm from nesting sea turtles.
Does anyone know the short answer to rules and regs for having a fire on the beach and a link?
Thanks guys.
