The only time that I went out to Bear Island was years ago and I went by ferry operated near Swansboro. The island is awesome and the fishing is great around the island.

Anyone have any tips or info about Bear Island, and the bogue sound/ inlet area? I have a Hobie Adventure. This would be my first trip to the coast. I usually fish Harris and Jordan. I am looking to go June or July, I hear it gets a bit congested, but the marsh and flats should be empty...thoughts?
