I havent been to Beaver Dam lately but have caught an incredible amount of fish including bass, crappie, brim, shiner and oddly enough Musky. i havent been there in months at the pier i always go to; i just want to know if people are allowed to fish at the beaver dam "Dam and what can be caught there"

yes, anyone can fish at the spillway, just keep the gate hours in mind. you can access it on land from the hwy 50 boat launch, or by non-gas motor through beaverdam rec area. the species that you mention may be caught there.

I've never heard of a mucky being caught at Falls myself, but I have heard of at least 2 people catching the South American Pacu, so I'd say anything is possible.

I caught a small fish that I couldn't identify on the main lake just outside the beaverdam a couple years ago. It was about 8" long, toothy, and in the tubular shape of a pike/pickerel/musky. It had a proportionally wider mouth than a normal-sized pickerel (more like a musky) and a paler color than any pickerel I'd ever seen. I figured juvenile pickerel, and the coloration due to the clay-colored water, but I've never seen a small one so really didn't know. Didn't figure on musky down here, and if that's really the way the juvenile pickerel looks, then could be an easy source of confusion.

That's what I was thinking when I read it. Then again you never know since they have stocked those toothy slime rockets up in the mountains...

yes belive it or not i caught a musky at the second pier on a salamander that snapped the line when I tried to get it up on the pier but couldnt budge it for anything, it was over 2 feet long.
