I fished for the first time Sunday out of a kayak and really enjoyed it. Ended up at Dicks sporting goods today and picked up a future beach cayman 124 angler for $449. I know it's not the best fishing kayak but will be perfect for when I get off work at 4 and only have a couple hrs to fish and don't want to drag the boat 30 mins to the closest lake. Anyone have any experience with this kayak? Any tips for a first timer?

Never used one but I believe its going to work perfect for what you have in mind! I like that it came with side rails, it gives you the ability to add things as you go. Enjoy your new yak and post up some pics of your fish!

Looks like a great starter yak. Keep your maximum payload in mind and always wear your PFD! think like a motorcyclist too. Assume no one sees you and plan accordingly.
