You know you’ve had a good night of fishing when you lose a thirty pound catfish right at the shore on your last cast, and you don’t even get upset.
That’s what happened to me last night by the time I left Lake Norman after spending the dark hours targeting blue catfish at the Marshall Steam Station. I ended up in the morning stumbling up from the rocks dazed, bruised, and battered having lost the last fight of the night.
But I still ended up with well over 60 lbs of blue catfish after a night spent fishing just one rod in the current around the Marshall Steam Station.
