Hi All, I picked up the Bass Pro Shops Travel Tite Boat Cover back in January. So far I have to say it keeps the boat dry and it stood up to the snow, sleet and ice of late. There is some extra material on the bow point and where the trolling motor is. They could have used more material there to allow the reinforcement to line up with trolling motors better.

Does anyone have any experience with this cover and highway traveling? I am looking at laying some material like old floor mats and such at some pointy spots. I don't want a rub through.

Also, how long did the thing last?

I have had that same cover since November. It has done OK keeping the boat dry and free of dirt and debris. I expect maybe a year or two of service at best, thats about what I got out of similar covers in the past.

There is no way I would trailer with that cover on my boat, it is a terrible fit. Being univesal to fit a bass boat, fish N ski, ski boat and lord knows what else, it has a bunch of excess fabric. I had a custom cover from my boat manufacturer which deteriorated from the sun and weather after 5 years, it fit good and I trailered with it a few times but really perfer towing without a cover. The cover really seemed to limit my visibility and even being a custom fit and straped down good, it blew up like a balloon which probably created more drag. Over time fabric and straps flapping in the wind can damage gel cote. Id rather just wipe any road dirt off than deal with the hassles of a cover. My 7 year old boat probably has 35000 miles on the road uncovered and still looks good.

I have one of those multi fit covers for my last boat. It said it was trailerable. Never tried it and wouldn't. On the other hand. When I had a waverunner it had a factory cover. Nothing in the seam but a elastic cord. I had it on every time I pulled it. No problem with it.
