You can't eat Albies but you can eat Bonita right??

Yes Bonitos are good to eat. This guy said he would always catch them by April 15 off of Wrightsville Beach And the further south you were the sooner the bite would be. I am trying to rememeber the place he said was good it was a sunken fire boat I am not familiar with that area.

That's right - the Albies are real bony and have strong tasting meat. Bonito have sweet tasting meat and are best very fresh. they do not freeze well at all, even in a vaccum pack. the meat gets mushy when thawed out. Bonito makes good sushi too.

He is right Haywood, seems they are always here by tax day but often they are here earlier, by as much as 10 days or so. Also they will show up 10 miles or so offshore first. The dates we are talking about are when they show up with-in 3 miles or so of the coast.

Thanks for the info hope to be down this weekend reckin any actionj will be happing then will be through planting corn and need some fun!! Thanks again to you guys for all you do to have a great page .
