'Bout the only thing you'd need a fish finder for is to help you stay in deep enough water to run. Probably not too big an issue in a small skiff. Like Drop says - docks, points and curves. Look for ambush points. Flounder are likely to be very tight to cover. Drum cruising banks and around docks. Trout are likely to be farther off the bank, sometimes in open water. Look for bait movement, structure that interrupts the wind and "slicks"(oily spots caused by feeding fish). Crab pots, especially fresh baited are always worth a try. Use your eyes, and your nose:).
