Had a great day with some buddies yesterday at Buckhorn Resevoir. Started late, around 10:30, and action was steady. Hot items were wacky rigged stick worms, Carolina rigged craws, and assorted spinnerbaits. We managed a few dinks, several 2+ lbers, 2 4-5 lbers, and this 7.5 lb hog. Notice the bent arms not holding it close to the camera to make it seem larger. I'm 6'3" 250 and this thing was starting to make me look small. All in all a fun day.

The fishing is well worth it. Especially in the spring time. The bearded one in the pics(dirtycyclesinc) and myself caught over 30 a piece in 1 day in early April. Heck, the 3 of us pulled in over 25 total and we didn't really fish much of the lake. Plus it was far from crowded this past Sunday. When we arrived there were only 4 trailers in the parking lot, and we got there at 10 am. I will warn you though. On the far end from the ramp, it is very shallow. Like 1-2 feet deep. Really the whole lake is shallow, but the far end especially. You can be 100 yards from the bank and it will still only be 3-4 feet deep.
