Made another trip over to buckhorne this morning and my pal jim glover was fishin also . Jim lives on the lake and probably knows it better than anyone . We both caught some nice fish and jim's dog ,herbert , enjoyed it more than we did . I had 15 today and had a really nice one get away from me . All my fish today came on a 8 inch zoom watermelon lizard fished on a 4/0 hook weightless . Might have to go back soon and look for the big girl that threw my hook back at me .another post on here ask about buckhorne and muddy water and yes they really don't care as long as you give them what they want !!!

Fished Buckhorn today for 11 hours with only 3 dink bass, It was tough. This is 2 trips in a month with 5 13 inch bass somethings wrong. Curtis i fished along side with your buddy Jim today I just happened to run across him for a couple hours and we both struck out during that time. Tried 4 or 5 cove for bedding bass but saw no beds.

i went back this morning and jim said it was tough yesterday .i never had a bite until 1030 , ended up with 12 but no 16 inch fish . Did talk with one man from bailey and he had a 17 and a 19 inch fish
For me buckhorn is either on or off, especially on a bluebird day like today and yesterday it's a tough place, I have more luck with some clouds overhead and even better after a good rain shower. Points and drop offs are my usual spots. I look for nice live grass also, if I'm pulling up that nasty black moss I keep moving.
Hopefully I'll be out there friday evening on a light blue/white Nautic star, usually have a dog or two with me. Please say hey, I'd like to meet some fellow ncanglers!
