What a week!
I started last Saturday with a tournament in GA with my daughter, Tiarra. She wanted to fish with her Daddy in a tournament again and I obliged, of course. After all, what dad can turn down a daughter's request to fish!
We were in the Kicks 99 Country bass tournament on Clark Hill Reservoir outside of Augusta, Ga.
It was a beautiful day and we caught a bunch of bass, just no mommies. Tiarra contributed as well...
We finished in the top third out of 220 boats and I was pretty happy considering I hadn't fished on Clark Hill for about 8 years before the tournament day!
I returned to Concord, only to leave again for Jordan Lake to participate in the Warriors On the Water tourney.
This, by far, is one of the tournaments I look forward to each year. Being able to take a soldier out on the water to enjoy some fishing for a day.
I fished with SFC Johnny Evans and had a great time. He did, too, and learned what the "oh crap" handles are for pretty quick!
We walked the stage with a bass and his smile was worth it all.
After three days at Jordan, it was time to come home and on Sunday, I fished with my most favorite partner, Kelli!
We went to Badin Lake for the afternoon and had a great time catching more bass.
We started on some docks with Vertical Lures Tube-X baits and picked up a few. Then went out to get some schoolers and had a blast.
Caught about 12 in three hours or so but the best of it was being with my favs again. It is good to be home!
Some of the fish I caught...
Kelli even got in the action so she could show off her new "rock"!
Now, I'm ready for the next tourney in a couple weeks on Norman! All refreshed and can't wait...this one is with Kelli!
To fish is human!
