Campground with fishing access

Hey guys, I'm looking for a campground with access to descent inshore fishing. I'll be bringing the family, so something with amenities would be nice. I do not have a boat at this time, so we'd be fishing from shore or wading. Anyone have any ideas?

Camper or Tent? Need electric? Need full hook ups?
Carolina Beach State park is on the Cape Fear river, and it has decent shore fishing opportunities, a playground, and good hiking trails. Rivers Edge Campground in Bayboro NC has only a basketball net, but we meet there every Sept for the great fishing. Twin Lakes in Chocochinty (spelling error, near Washington) has great amenities, and good fishing for bass, stripers, and the occasional lost redfish.

What type of amenitites?

Are you willing to go to South Carolina? James River County Park near Charleston has incredible family amenities (playground, water park, etc) , and a salt water creek with good access for fishing.... Your admission also includes parking at Folly Beach (15 minutes away). Hunting Island State Park is incredible for nature, and has a great fishing pier that will allow you to catch most anything.

You're probably too late to book a weekend site at most of the parks for this summer.

Hmmm...isn't there a commercial campground at Salter Path on Emerald Isle, NC that has both ocean and soundside access? Also a KOA at Rodanthe that offers both?...

KOA in Rodanthe is on ocean and there are plenty of access to beach and sound, but be ready to roast unless u have a/c. No trees the last tim e I was there...Might as well camp at park areas and save $. Salter Path had a private campground but do not remember name. Sure u can find on internet...
Look for one at the Brick Landing across the waterway from Ocean Isl/Holden Beach.
