Purchased a 1988 Duracraft Sport V 18ft aluminum all welded boat from a neighbor. Has the original 88 Johnson 40HP outboard and Johnson Trolling motor. Has been sitting for a while and ugly as heck but has the makings of a fine fishing machine.

February, tackled titling problems and now finally have clear title and numbers.
Tackled some items on the galvanised trailer to make it somewhat useable, new jackstand, winch strap. Needs springs bad but in due time, overall trailer is in good shape.

March, put the boat in water to check for leaks, all good. Repaired tilt-trim, new plugs, steering cables. Repaired some wiring and plug and lubed trolling motor works great, foot controlled.

March, put boat in water to make sure it can catch fish before I put too much time in it, wouldnt want one of them boats with a hex on it. Bloodied it good.

Next couple of things I did maybe not all in order, added a couple swivel seats and rod holders. Added fish finder. Repaired bow light and added stern light. Repaired cowling and painted motor, added stickers.

I really like that boat!!

If you know someone at a uniform rental company you might be able to get a few old rugs that will fit cut to fit between the ribs. keeps things from getting slippery and they hose off well and don't add much weight.

Looking good I second the floor kit. That's just the kind of boat I want to get back into eventually so it can do all the different things I want to do. Inshore and fresh..

Got 2/3 of it painted today, still have to do some bottom where it sits on trailer.

If this paint was rocket fuel it would send me and the boat to the moon, strong stuff.
