Well went last sat and drifted some live bait out in front of the cape picked up a small king at 15LB. then all we could catch were sharks two werwe very nice around 7 to 8 ft . took a break and went swimming at the hook for a while on of my boat mate was feeling a little green . about 2:30 headed in and ran into a school of spanish just out the turning basin piched jigs and put 10 nice ones in the box. I guess you never know how a day will end all in all a great day on the water . look forward to going again this weekend . hope to see yall there.

Landlubber question: What/Where is "the cape", "the hook" and "the turning basin"?

Cape Lookout, the Hook is there at Barden inlet
Turning basin is there in Morehead City where the big boats load/unload at the dock there near Port Side Marina.
