Stayed at Carolina Beach State Park with my daughter for a weekend of fishing and camping. Got out of the water around 9 AM and fished for about five hours. Managed to hook into a short flounder underneath snows cut bridge around 1 pm using white buck tails and chartreuse gulp. My daughter caught two pin fish with shrimp under
a popper cork. Saw a guy wrestling with something decent under the snows cut bridge around 3 pm. Fishing on Sunday wasn't any good either caught nothing. Netted a bunch of Bait in the morning but couldn't get anything to bite at it. Heard some reports that most the flounder moved south on the Cape fear due to the rain. All in all time well spent.

Thanks for the report! I'm considering trying for flounder/drum in the yak around that area sometime in the next few weeks. Always good to see kiddos having a good time on the water.

Scott, yes you are definitely correct I think she had more fun watching me net the schools of mullet than anything.
