We got out Wednesday and Thursday to chase black bass. Wednesday was amazing. Very calm seas, tried in close at about 15-20 miles. Managed a few keepers, but decided to head out deeper. Stopped at 37 and fished there out to 40.
We had a four man limit by 11. Threw back another two limits playing with amberjacks and parties.

Thursday was rough. Out 40 miles we were dealing with constant 6-8 foot swells, and wind driven 2-3 footers. We could not get past the amberjacks and banded rudderfish. After 60 jumbo rudders and sever Jack's we relocated and found a few bass, grunts and parties.

Overall a great trip and made us ready for spring. Water temp was 58-62.

Thanks, we are based out of Cabarrus county, so we have to take every chance we can at fair weather. This winter has been pretty rough and this has been our first trip since October...
