How deep are the cuts on the Shack side of Carrot Island? Looks like some good marsh areas. Is it deep enough to get a boat back in there or is it mostly fished by yaks? Any tips for navigating back there?

****** is spot on. There was a kraken in there at one point. Be safe.

It does look really tempting but it's really tight. Stay with a shallow draft, 6 inches or less like a skiff and you can pole your way through if the tide is right. Other than that, I'd leave it to the yaks.

Spot is easiest fished from a yak. Watch for horses and keep it clean. Rachel Carson equestrian preserve. Leave only footprints please

It does get alot of pressure time to time and gigged alot. Pole a skiff in but you may not have too long to fish. Yak is the best choice

Ditto on what others have said. A yak is definitely preferable back there and it gets a lot of fishing pressure.
