Cary NC creek fishing...6 species

I have this one creek here in cary that is loaded with fish, eels in there as well. ....nothing really big but it is a fun stream where I go to catch bait for flatheads and blues......

Caught 6 species of panfish. Bluegill, green sunfish, shellcrackers, redbreast, crappie , yellow perch.
all to be cut bait for cats.....

Also , used dads old favorite minispin to catch these....Taken out of retirement. mack

I have three of those old Diawas, picked them up for a dollar a peice at a yard sale. Nice fish and cool little rod.

Don't let the local residents find out, they will have to hold a candlelight vigil for the poor fishies. Nice rod.

I have lived in Cary over 20 years and did not know there is a creek with yellow perch in it.

Interesting mixed bag from an unassuming place. Good job. I'm thinking fish second from bottom in middle row is a flier? Vertical eye band gives it away?

Below the Yellow Perch??....that's the crappie....the light hits it it doesn't look right. but it was defiantly a crappie.

I've caught yellow perch at West Point on the Eno also.
