Hit CD Owen park today for a few hours before work. 1st time there. Wasn't too bad. Lots of little bass in those ponds. Caught 5 on a shallow crank, and one trout out the river behind the ponds. Gonna bring the fly rod next time and sling some bugs at em. Slickrocktom, are there carp in the pond with the pier? Saw some massive fish in the shallows and figured that's what they are.

I love that park, you can catch bass, brim and cats in the ponds, then when you get hot, go jump in the river for some trout and sucker fish and a smallie if your lucky. I need to put my yak in there this summer and hit some of those less accessible banks.

Be careful jumping in that stretch, it always smells like someone took a fresh dump back there.
