Was weird. My yak FF worked fine last weekend. I went out Friday and my FF was not working. Discovered a blown fuse. New fuse went phfst. Disconnected the wiring and still metered short. Cut the cable to narrow it down. Cut it again and the short was gone.

The section removed was a coil block that was inline.

Anyone ever have an issue with those things?? It was molded in. Not one of the wrap around ones.

Is it's purpose to remove ignition "noise" from the FF power leads? If it works well without it just leave it out.

Ya, i believe it's there for that. Seeing as it's in my yak.... The only ignition noise is me.

But usually, it's just around the wires and not an integral part of it. I can see them making it part of the wire insulation. No need for it to slide on the wire. But it still should not be contacting any wires.

And the unit worked just fine without it.
