Yeah Jeff, I was suspicious also. Found out that Florida has no such agency but Nebraska does. Now if you can find out who just moved to that lake from Nebraska and is trying to discourage everyone else from coming there you have your hoaxer.lol
Gators aren't the only thing that gets big and scary in Florida. They have a very real problem with burmese pythons. They grow up to about 20 feet.

Yup,, I've seen that many times. Especially workin on a golf course in a nature preserve down in Fla (Misty Creek CC in Sarasota Fla).

Them gator's would hand on the edge of the banks in the slue waiting for deer to cross... when they did.. CHOMP! 12-15 ft'rs were common in the slue and surrounding lakes/ponds... always had to keep a 3rd eye on them when fly mowin around the edges of the water... and especially when hawkin' golf balls out of the water on the golf course
