Are there any clubs around the Lake Norman area? or can someone inform me on how to look for clubs etc. I am a younger guy who just got into fishing a couple months ago and I am looking to connect with other fisherman and learn a couple things. Thanks

Welcome to the site and to bass fishing! I'm in the Lake Norman (Sherrills Ford) area but not too familiar with any clubs yet. I know they are here, though, and will do some checking to see what I can dig up. I'm sure there will be some on here that will know as well...

Sorry, no personal knowledge, but I think I can point you to some people who have some:

Ask in the Midway bait & tackle store, right by the 150 bridge over the lake. At least one club has weigh ins there.

2nd place to try would be the Boater's Warehouse store on 798Brawley School road. I know one bass club meets there regularly. They've taken my older son fishing for a "teach a kid" to fish event.

Mac Bynum, a local guide, is big in the local catfish club. You can find a link to him online.

Jake Bussolinni, a local author about books on Lake Norman, can be found online or on linkedin as well. He is a member of several bass clubs on the lak

Go to the North Carolina forums over on Bass Boat Central.

NC Angler is good but those guys over on the BBC are all bass fishermen! More saltwater over here.
I wouldn't go as far as to say NCANGLER is more saltwater than fresh...and certainly that we don't have bass anglers.

I know quite a few tournament guys that frequently post advice and helps on here and I am quite sure that someone here can recommend a good club.
